1. Risk Profiling — Understanding You First

Before any recommendation, we conduct a structured risk profiling exercise covering:

Investment objective (wealth creation / income / tax saving / capital preservation)
Investment horizon (short / medium / long-term)
Risk tolerance (conservative / moderate / aggressive)
Liquidity needs and existing financial obligations
Existing portfolio and asset allocation

2. Fund Selection — 10-Step Process

Category Selection: Based on risk profile and goals
AMC Shortlisting: Reputable AMCs with strong governance and stable AUM
Performance Analysis: 1, 3, 5, 10-year returns vs. benchmark and peers
Risk-Adjusted Returns: Sharpe Ratio, Standard Deviation, Sortino Ratio
Expense Ratio: Compare TER across comparable schemes
Fund Manager: Experience, tenure, consistency
Portfolio Quality: Concentration, sector allocation, liquidity
Riskometer: Align scheme risk with investor profile
Approval: Include on approved list after all criteria met
Ongoing Review: Quarterly monitoring — exit if criteria not maintained

3. Conflict of Interest Declaration

Recommendations are never based on commission rates
We have no proprietary relationship with any AMC
We do not receive non-cash benefits (trips, gifts, sponsorships) from AMCs
If Direct Plan better serves the investor's goals, we will inform them accordingly

4. Unsuitability Process

If an investor insists on a scheme outside their risk profile, we:

Inform in writing that the scheme may not be suitable
Explain specific risks involved
Obtain written Unsuitability Declaration from the investor
Process the investment only after the signed declaration
